
The rosary is a string of beads used in prayer, particularly in the Catholic faith, to aid in the meditation on the life of Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary. It consists of a series of prayers, including the Hail Mary, Our Father, and Glory Be, recited while counting the beads. Each set of ten Hail Marys, called a decade, is accompanied by a specific mystery that reflects on key events in Christian. The rosary serves as a spiritual tool, helping the faithful to focus their thoughts and intentions during prayer.

The Rosary is a prayer that consists of four sets of mysteries :-
the Joyful Mystery, the Sorrowful Mystery, the Glorious Mystery and the Luminous Mystery. It is recommended to pray the mysteries on the following days:-

- Joyful Mystery
Monday and Saturday

- Sorrowful Mystery
Tuesday and Friday
​
- Glorious Mystery
Wednesday and Sunday

- Luminous Mystery
Thursday

How To Pray The Rosary?
​
Here are some steps for praying the Rosary:-
​
1. Sign of the Cross : While holding the crucifix, make the Sign of the Cross.
​
2. Apostles' Creed : Pray the Apostles' Creed while holding the crucifix.
​
3. Our Father : Pray the Our Father on the 1st large bead.
​
4. Hail Mary : Pray the Hail Mary on each of the next 3 small beads.
​
5. Glory Be : Pray the Glory Be after the 3rd Hail Mary.
​
6. For each of the 5 decades, announce the Mystery then pray Our Father.
​
7. While fingering each of the ten beads of the decade, next say 10 Hail Marys while meditating on the Mystery. Then pray Glory Be.
8. Fatimah Prayer (Optional ) : Pray the Fatima Prayer in the space after the 10th bead of each decade.

8. Hail Holy Queen : Pray the Hail Holy Queen after the 5 decades.
​
​9. Sign of the Cross : While holding the crucifix, make the Sign of the Cross.
​
It can take about 20 minutes to recite a Rosary prayer.
